Faela! is short for Rafaela, one of Hugo’s beloved aunts who, although no longer physically present among us, left a mark so strong and deep in the life of everyone who met her, that it was a natural and even compulsory thing to pay her a homage through the name of the band.
The band was formed in Malmö, Sweden, in 2007 since then has graced the stages of many venues and festivals all over Europe, including their recent success at the 8.Strassenmusik Festival in Ludwigsburg, in June of 2011, where they were the most voted band of the festival.
